Many people ask if we are Apple certified. I tell them that if there were certification from Apple for our business that we would be. Nearly 40,000 repairs with a track record for excellence is the badge we wear at iDoctor. However, every once in a while we hear, “abc battery business is certified”, “abc battery business is the country’s largest repair shop”, etc. What I ask is if they believe every marketing gimmick. ABC battery business is great at mixing words and being a bit ambiguous – here is why: Apple does not certify for repair of iPhone and iPads. As far as the other claim about being the largest – that is followed up by an asterix (think Barry Bonds) that says by total number of stores, not by total number of repairs. Through this writers lens – this type of marketing that certain battery shops use tarnishes a fairly decent reputation they have – or at least when people start calling them out for this shady and politic-similar type of marketing.
