Holiday greetings from iDoctor! We wish you the happiest of holidays this season and wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder to make a habit of backing up their content to a computer regularly.
With memories being made at holiday parties, family gatherings, and just festive events – many pictures are being taken, friends and contacts being made – you don’t want those memories to be lost forever because a little egg nog got into your phone, do you?
Often we find that people have a false hope that iCloud has stored all of their pictures and contacts, etc. Unfortunately, unless you have set up iCloud to back up specific content at regular intervals, and have the space available (which means you are likely having to pay for extra storage), then all of the data you are accumulating is just sitting on your phone waiting for the Grinch to steal it from you.
By connecting your phone to a computer and to iTunes, you can select the option to back up the device to the hard drive on the computer. That way if your phone becomes completely disabled there is always a way to restore a new device with your old content.
If you have made it down this far in this blog entry, there is a good chance you haven’t backed up your device and wondering about data recovery. You are in luck! iDoctor does work on liquid damaged devices and has had good success in recovering data from many devices. There are even many times when a device has been placed into recovery or restore mode that we have found lost data.
Our data recovery even extends as far as recovering data that has been deleted (unintentionally, of course) by you, a friend, a child, etc. If you have realized that something you had is now deleted, the best thing to do is to contact us immediately. The longer you wait, the less likely that data can be recovered. Your phone is still taking in new information and may possibly be overwriting the deleted data – so don’t wait!
Data recovery and liquid damage issues are topics near and dear to our hearts here at iDoctor. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us and we would be happy to help you!
Have a safe and happy holiday season from all of us at iDoctor!
