iDoctor’s first video after getting our waterproofing machine in May. The phone was left in the bucket of water for approximately 7 seconds, to simulate a drop into a toilet or a sink. The iPhone worked perfectly after being submerged in water. The day after the phone was taken apart to inspect for signs of corrosion or liquid damage – there were no visible signs of damage and the phone was in perfect operation.
This is in contrast to what we frequently hear about people dropping their phone in a body of water for just a split second, causing significant damage to where the phone doesn’t work until it’s been cleaned/repaired.
